Bro, I have the dubious honour of being the first guy to leave a comment on this blog so let me add on to the list of questions that we can ask the town councils..
1) Why are they holding so much cash? council fees are paid for the administration and improvement of living conditions. With millions in excess cash should i expect golden taps for every public tap? or maybe just a 3 yr waiver of council fees…
2) Each government agency was set up for a reason allowing for specialisation if excess funds should be invested, shouldn’t it be passed on to the relevant professionals? (we can always give our sovreign wealth fund a larger injection) … with the town councils investing, MINDEF might invest too (given the huge budget) or maybe we can ask the town councils to purchase M16s to ensure a faster response time during recalls.
